MYO Guide

Remember, all users start off with 1 free Basic Subspecies MYO slot!

Be sure to check out the other Basic Subspecies first before making your decision!

Understanding this guide requires knowledge of the Standard MYO Guide. Please read over that one first before continuing!

[Standard Guide]

[Pygmy Guide] [Draco Guide] [Naga Guide]

Sunlytes are one of the common four subspecies. They came from a mutation causing the sclera to become permanently black and the irises to become permanently white. Slowly, their mouth and eyes came closer until they connected, forming the strange face shape seen today. They evolved to naturally have wings as their forearms, so when they grew, they could fly through the mountains of the original land mass. Suns eventually grew feathers instead of a tail and feathers behind their ears to increase their aerodynamics and fly better. Luckily, the flying aspect came in handy when Unkiri broke up into smaller islands, giving Sunlytes the ability to fly from one island chunk to another. The reason is unknown to why Sunlytes developed round heads and have no visible nose — some say it was just a mutation, and some say it’s a punishment from Gaia. Their connection to flight leads to Sunlytes being able to easily learn Sky magic.

Anatomy

Sunlings are a Basic Subspecies, and are usually identified by their odd face. Their black sclera and white irises are a permanent feature and the most identifiable part of them, as well as the fact their eyes and mouth connect. They’re also known to have wings on their forearms, leaving them with only the back legs to have hooves. Instead of having a sloped head, their head is rounded. Suns are the only subspecies that are born without a visible nose and are unable to acquire a nose, yet they still seem to be able to breathe normally from the general area. They also have 3 feathers replacing their tail and 2 rows of 3 or 4 feathers behind their ears.

Lavalamp Placements, Colors & Markings, Lavalamp Colors

All of these function as normal for MYO Sunlings, except:

Tail & Front Leg Placements are not allowed on Sunlings!
Hoof Placements only affect the back legs!

Anything Else

Everything listed here previously on the Standard MYO Guide function as normal! There are a couple extra Sun-specific items to mention, though.

Tail & Head Feathers: These can be any color already on your lyte!

Eyes: The sclera portion of the eye must be black / near black, and their irises must be white!

Here’s a good example of what a MYO Sunling could look like!

Template & Description

Now that your lyte has been fully designed, just throw them onto a template with the proper description, and they’ll be almost to approval!

Click below to find a PSD of the template, or click here for a PNG version!

Sun Template

Now all you have to do is fill out the description for your lyte!
It’s the exact same info that is listed on the Standard MYO Guide, but under Species be sure to put Sunling!

Approval

The final step is to get your Sunling approved!
Upload them to Toyhou.se and create a forum post with the proper description filled in to give them an official date of creation! Once a forum post has been made, they can be submitted to the Astrolytes World and become an official lyte!

Since we are an open species, you do not need to wait for a mod to approve your lyte for them to be accepted into the world! Be sure to update your tracker with each new approval, as keeping track of your current lytes will rely on you!

If you need any additional help on the forums [how to code something in, image breaking, etc.], feel free to contact an admin or helper - we'll be happy to help!
