MYO Guide

Remember, all users start off with 1 free Basic Subspecies MYO slot!

Be sure to check out the other Basic Subspecies first before making your decision!

Understanding this guide requires knowledge of the Standard MYO Guide. Please read over that one first before continuing!

[Standard Guide]

[Pygmy Guide] [Sun Guide] [Naga Guide]

Dracolytes are a specialized subspecies well-acclimated to living in a harsh climate. Even before Aitsua was a desert, their forked tail and ears were a prominent feature, aiding in cooling themselves off. As the climate gradually got less rain, and the flora died off to be replaced by sand and scrublands, Dracolytes evolved to fit their new environment. Hard back scales provide them with protection, and if they feel threatened they can roll into a ball like an armadillo. Their skin is thick, and acts as an insulator from both the hot sand and the frequent electrical storms. Spikes are additional protection from predators, and their spiked eyebrow scales keep sand out of their eyes. Their thinner irises were developed as a defense against the harsh sun. The extra bone on their shoulder seemingly serves no purpose, but it helps them grow wings easier than a standard Lavaling. Most likely due to their desert roots, Dracolytes are able to learn Flame magic much easier.

Anatomy

Dracoling Anatomy

Dracolings are a Basic Subspecies and are bulky and tough, the biggest subspecies on Craven. Tough armor plating runs from the tip of the nose, down the neck, and all the way down to the tail, stopping just before the forked tail tip. Their ears are small and forked, and have ridges inside them. Their shoulders, cheeks, and butt have spikes on them, no more than four spikes per section. Their mouth is spiked, they have a lizard's nose, and instead of the round eyebrows standard lavalings have, they have spiky eyebrow scales. Their irises are also thinner than a standard lavaling’s.

Lavalamp Placements, Colors & Markings, Lavalamp Colors

All of these function as normal for MYO Dracolings, except:

Forehead & Back Placements are not allowed on Dracolings!
Neck & Tail Placements are acceptable, but they do not turn the plating into lavalamps!

Anything Else

Everything listed here previously on the Standard MYO Guide function as normal! There are a couple extra Draco-specific items to mention, though.

Eyebrow Scales: These function just like the normal eyebrows color-wise!

Armor Plating: This can be any base, secondary, or lava color already on your Dracoling!

Here’s a good example of what a MYO Dracoling could look like!

Template & Description

Dracoling Example

Now that your lyte has been fully designed, just throw them onto a template with the proper description, and they’ll be almost to approval!

Click below to find a PSD of the template, or click here for a PNG version!

Draco Template

Now all you have to do is fill out the description for your lyte!
It’s the exact same info that is listed on the Standard MYO Guide, but under Species be sure to put Dracoling!

Approval

The final step is to get your Dracoling approved!
Upload them to Toyhou.se and create a forum post with the proper description filled in to give them an official date of creation! Once a forum post has been made, they can be submitted to the Astrolytes World and become an official lyte!

Since we are an open species, you do not need to wait for a mod to approve your lyte for them to be accepted into the world! Be sure to update your tracker with each new approval, as keeping track of your current lytes will rely on you!

If you need any additional help on the forums [how to code something in, image breaking, etc.], feel free to contact an admin or helper - we'll be happy to help!

If you would like to check in anyway, feel free to jump into our Discord! We have a specific channel called The Bakery that’s designed to help out with approvals!

To the right is an invite link to join!
