MYO Guide

Remember, all users start off with 1 free Basic Subspecies MYO slot!

Be sure to check out the other Basic Subspecies first before making your decision!

Understanding this guide requires knowledge of the Standard MYO Guide. Please read over that one first before continuing!

[Standard Guide]

[Pygmy Guide] [Draco Guide] [Sun Guide]

Nagalytes are one of the most common four, however the reason for their lack of hind legs and longer body is still quite unknown. The current theory is that they are closely affiliated with water (something that is known to be true) and therefore their ancestors developed powerful tails to swim instead of having to manage back legs as well, which would also explain their gills. Due to this connection to water, Nagalytes were drawn to the lower altitude and water-filled habitat of Zima. Because of their heritage, Nagas find it much easier to learn Flow magic than any other kind.

Anatomy

Nagaling Anatomy

Nagalings are a Basic Subspecies, and are most known for their lack of hind legs. Instead, they have a long, sleek body similar to a snake and two arms. Three gills can be found on either side of their body, and two on either side of their neck. They don’t possess the regular cat-like nose, instead having six separate nostrils and a forked tongue. Nagas are also the only subspecies to be naturally born with pupils.

Lavalamp Placements, Colors & Markings, Lavalamp Colors

All of these function as normal for MYO Nagalings, except:

Neck & Back Leg Placements are not allowed on Nagalings!
Tail Placements only turn about the last 20% of the body into lavalamps!
Back & Belly Placements stop a little bit above the side gills!

Anything Else

Everything listed here previously on the Standard MYO Guide function as normal! There is an extra Naga-specific items to mention, though.

Gills & Nostrils: These can be any color already on your lyte!
There must be 4 gills on the neck, 6 gills on the body, and 6 nostrils.

Here’s a good example of what a MYO Nagaling could look like!

Template & Description

Nagaling Example

Now that your lyte has been fully designed, just throw them onto a template with the proper description, and they’ll be almost to approval!
Click below to find a PSD of the template, or click here for a PNG version!

Naga Template

Now all you have to do is fill out the description for your lyte!
It’s the exact same info that is listed on the Standard MYO Guide, but under Species be sure to put Nagaling!

Approval

The final step is to get your Nagaling approved!
Upload them to Toyhou.se and create a forum post with the proper description filled in to give them an official date of creation! Once a forum post has been made, they can be submitted to the Astrolytes World and become an official lyte!

Since we are an open species, you do not need to wait for a mod to approve your lyte for them to be accepted into the world! Be sure to update your tracker with each new approval, as keeping track of your current lytes will rely on you!

If you need any additional help on the forums [how to code something in, image breaking, etc.], feel free to contact an admin or helper - we'll be happy to help!

If you would like to check in anyway, feel free to jump into our Discord! We have a specific channel called The Bakery that’s designed to help out with approvals!
