Welcome to the Colors & Markings Ferroii page!
These are Astrolyte-only ferroii and cannot normally be added to Lavalings!
Tint Shifter
Halogens Needed: 80
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte getting covered in paint! Be sure to mention what happened. Your lyte must be 2 months old!
Only changes the tint / shade, not the hue of the color! For example: dark pink > pale pink is fine — dark pink > pale purple isn’t! Can affect all or just a select few colors on your lyte.
Color Jumble
Halogens Needed: 120
Other Requirements: Have at least 5 separate fullbody images of your lyte! Your lyte must be 2 months old!
Base, secondary, or any added colors can be moved! Eye, lava, hair, & mouth colors cannot!
No new colors or markings can be added with this, so make sure new markings don’t overlap in complicated ways! Spots must be visibly larger than the eye [this is more important if you typically draw eyes small.]
Dropper
Halogens Needed: 200
Other Requirements: Have at least 10 separate fullbody images of your lyte! Draw your lyte in a natural scene [forest, mountain, etc.]! Your lyte must be 3 months old!
Add one new color to your lyte’s palette! It can be any color and does not have to be related to the base color. Same rules as Color Jumble in regards to markings. This can only be used once per lyte!
Rainboom
Halogens Needed: 700
Other Requirements:
Option A: Have at least 15 separate images of your lyte! Paint a silhouette image of your lyte! Does not have to be made using actual paint [meaning it could be condiments / mud / a watered down substance / anything paint-like] , but it must be traditional. No markers / pencils / crayons! Your lyte must be 7 months old!
Option B: Have at least 15 separate images of your lyte! Take a picture and draw your lyte into it! We’re not expecting realism, but try to make it look like they’re actually there instead of just a sketch on top of an image. Try to be more creative with your photo — indoor photos are fine, but we’d really prefer you go out and find a cool setting! Photo must be taken by you! This can be done digitally or traditionally [print the photo out]! Your lyte must be 7 months old!
Unlimited colors! Same rules as Color Jumble and Dropper in regards to markings!
Blend

Polygons
Halogens Needed: 175
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte using abstract shapes!
Can be any flat-sided shape and be filled in or hollow! May be paired to make another marking geometric using Overlay.
Smudges
Halogens Needed: 250
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte sliding across something!
Can be filled in or hollow!
Bones
Halogens Needed: 290
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte in a graveyard!
Must stay as cartoony bone shapes! Can be filled in or hollow!
Clovers

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte getting lucky! Your lyte must be 3 months old!
Can be filled in or hollow!
Splatter

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte in a painterly style! Your lyte must be 4 months old!
Stitching

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte sewing or making something out of fabric!
Can be styled to look "open!" May be drawn in the shape of other markings if present.
Suns

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte out during the daytime! Your lyte must be 3 months old!
Can be filled in or hollow! Rays can be attached or detached.
Crescents

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte out during the nighttime! Your lyte must be 3 months old!
Can be filled in or hollow!
Lace

Other Requirements: Draw your lyte putting on new clothes!
Fashion Form is not needed as long as it's just a one-off image! Can be any lace design.
Rosettes
Halogens Needed: 400
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte attempting to camouflage themself!
Can mimic any real-life rosette markings!
Flames
Halogens Needed: 100
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte in an environment with a high temperature!
Can be filled in or hollow! May be styled as a ball / isolated spark of flame.
Beast Prints
Halogens Needed: 465
Other Requirements: Draw your lyte following the trail of an animal or lyte! Your lyte must be 3 months old!
Can mimic any real-life, extinct, or fantasy animal tracks!
Silhouettes
Halogens Needed: 600
Other Requirements: Create a shadow puppet to project a recognizable shadow of your lyte onto a flat surface! Your lyte must be 5 months old!
Using paper cutouts, hands, miscellaneous materials, etc works as long as the shadow cast resembles your lyte! Include a picture of your shadow puppet and the shadow!
Eye-See-You

Other Requirements: "Fawn Spots" ferrosome needed first! Have 3 images of your lyte with Fawn Spots!
Floral

Other Requirements: Have at least 10 separate fullbody images of your lyte! Draw / write about your lyte making a compromise! Your lyte must be 4 months old!
Allows different markings to overlap and create a new marking! These must alter the appearance of the involved markings to something unachievable by placing the markings separately nearby.
