The Anniversary
The middle of March marks a small celebration of peace and restoration founded on Florya centuries ago.
The story was originally established after the events of the islands’ split, which had resulted in a winter-long conflict between Unkirians and Floryans. Those from Unkiri were unhappy with how their island had been broken apart, and Floryans were adamant that the split was for the best. The months of fighting were interrupted by the arrival of Spring, which caused the lytes involved to take a step back and look at the destruction they were causing.
The leaders called for a peace treaty between the islands to restore the damage dealt to Florya’s ecosystem.
After the treaty was signed, vitae flowers grew across the devastated landscape, returning the island to its lively state. From then on, the two factions would meet up annually and spend the last weeks of the first month of Spring in celebration together, as a sort of expression of forgiveness despite any lasting tensions.
Over time, other islands caught on to the event, and it turned into more of a planet-wide deal, representing the peace & friendliness among islands.
Vitae flowers are used as a symbol of the celebration alongside many other positive aspects, such as life, prosperity, and kindness.
Outside of group canon, March 14th and 15th are known as the Anniversary of Astrolytes!
This is when the group first opened, and we hold an event each year celebrating it! Many ferroii made for the Anni are exclusive to that year, and only available for a couple weeks!

Moss, flowers, and vines grow on this lyte’s body like they’re a part of the ground. These plants can only grow over 65% of the body, but it’s up to the user to decide what grows there. Two vines with claw-like petals attached at the end are often seen and can serve to grab small objects. Can only slightly go over lamps and cannot fully cover the eyes, nose, and mouth.
Ocean Mane

Water surrounds this lyte’s head like a lion’s mane and two wings sprout from either side of it. They often drip, but the mane seems to stay a consistent size despite this. These wings can be of any size and shape, but they are only made of water, so gliding / soaring comes easier than actual flight.If applied to a lyte with neck lamps, the glow should be visible from underneath. This must be regular water colors — blues / clear only, no random colors!
Cloud Cloak

Clouds surround this lyte’s head and neck, as well as appearing under their hooves. These clouds allow for the lyte to be able to walk through the air, as long as the little clouds are beneath them. They are less connected to any emotions and more connected to that actual weather — if it’s raining, they’ll probably be as well, and if it’s a cloudless day, then they might not be the most reliable to walk on.

The chest of this lyte is opened to hold a large flame, and vents along the back release small, flaming wings. The actual lyte isn’t usually affected, but others around them can feel the heat. Similar to the Ocean Mane, the “wings” attached can be any size or shape, but merely help with short glides and not any true flight.

Mind's Eye

A holographic, glowing eye that floats above the lyte’s forehead. Its iris follows the movements of the lyte it’s attached to, and it can ‘close’ with the lyte’s eyes as well. It does not provide any direct powers, but lytes with this ferrosome seem to be able to guess what someone will say or what will happen next in certain situations surprisingly well.

Four icy, serrated tusks that protrude from the lyte’s mouth. These are cold to the touch, and will begin to lower the temperature of anything bitten into. They are surprisingly strong and heat-resistant — it’s more likely to start cooling down any extremely hot substance than start to melt itself.

A large set of horns consisting of an odd combination of solid shards and a shiny, tar-like semi-solid. Particles regularly float away and back into these horns, creating a mercury-like effect. Plants and other small organisms seem to simply stop growing if exposed to the lyte with these horns for too long.
Lazer Vision

Ringed pupils that can emit a concentrated beam of light on command. These lazers are harmless and only really function as a light source outside of producing a small amount of heat. The ideal ferrosome for pet owners planet-wide.
